The Division of Enrollment Management is hiring a Student Services Program Coordinator. The Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruitment program coordination, including coordination and support of certain invitational programs of the Office of Admissions and some others in conjunction with the Division of Enrollment Management. Coordinates communication with the high school and independent counseling communities. Also responsible for admissions recruitment, counseling, outreach, and application review.

Represent the University on and off campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors, and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process. Plan and implement recruitment activities for assigned high schools and territories, including travel to distant sites in South Carolina and nationally.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the University by all applicable policies, standards, and requirements. Provide one-on-one admissions counseling to diverse populations primarily through in-person appointments, phone calls, and emails. Review, evaluate, and score prospective student credentials promptly, process applications in Banner, and counsel students and parents on admissions requirements, campus services, and programs.

Coordinate and contribute to the success of various student visit programs designed to recruit targeted prospective applicants to the University. These programs require significant collaboration with Student Success and Retention, Multicultural Affairs, Financial Aid, Office of the Registrar, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs.

Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position:

A bachelor's degree. The equivalent experience of a bachelor's degree

Preferred Requirements:

One year of experience in admissions counseling and outreach experience, or the equivalent experience in student services.
